Angel Munoz Sr
-The man with a dream
Our story began with Angel Muñoz Sr, a father of 12 who supported his family behind the wheel of a truck. Full of life and proud of his work, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Even today, they share stories of the time they spent together.
Angel passed that pride, work ethic, and love of trucking on to his children—including his eldest son John J Muñoz, now our President.

A U.S. Navy veteran, John J Muñoz, or "Juan" as we know him, returned to trucking after completing his service. Known on the road as “Mala Suerte,” he believed in taking pride in your truck and in the work you do. Family and work always came first.
As a driver and father of five, John often brought his children along on the road. He showed them the beauty of the United States and taught them how to keep a rig running at its best and shining like new.
He founded JJA Munoz with his family in mind. He aimed to create something tangible that embodies the Family Tradition.

Angel Muñoz grew up around trucks, from holding the steering wheel of a Peterbilt 359 at age three, to driving OTR himself in the early 2000s. His journey has lead him from Passenger seat, to driver seat, to front office. Carrying on the Tradition of the generations that came before him:
-Take care of your family.
-Take pride in everything you do.
-Go to Work.

Today, J.J.A. Munoz Dist., Inc. operates a fleet of trucks spec’d with driver comfort in mind. Our equipment reflects direct input from the people who drive it. The industry has changed. The world around us has changed. Some things haven’t:

Life on the road is demanding. Drivers spend time away from family and carry a serious responsibility for everyone’s safety on the highway.
